When Equipement matters

I think all athletes are obsessed with their equipement. I have spent countless hours going over various bike parts, run gear, and all sorts of equipement. After going through several thousands of dollars I have found two companies that go above and beyond what I ask of all my equipement.

Blue Competition Cycles have produced top quality frames for several years. I have ridden titanium, carbon, aluminum, aluminum/carbon, and titanium/carbon bikes of the past several decades. I can not stress enough how great the people at Blue bikes have been. I was drawn to them by the straight forward ideology and interactions I had with their staff. Instead of just trying to sell their bikes they wanted to make sure that it was the right bike for me and that I was comfortable with who I was purchasing the bike from and where I would be getting service from. They are supporting USAT and also several individual triathlons. I asked them for the sponsorship because I wanted to ride a bike that was affordable to the everyday triathlete and still had near top of the line technology and benefits. Without question the Blue Triad has been the best triathlon bike I have ever ridden..

Rudy Project has filled the gap for me in finding the right eye wear. Ask any optometrist and they will tell you quality sunglasses are a must. I had tried several other name brands and only a few worked but none fit my face correctly. In the end I had resigned myself to spending significant amounts of money for a pair of sunglass specifically designed for Asian faces. Then by chance I stumbled on a Rudy Project dealer and tried on a few of their glasses. With in a week I was contacting them about ordering a few pairs for myself. I currently race with the Sportmask Perfomance. These sunglasses are amazingly light, handle airflow great on the bike and never fog up.

What it takes to get me to the finish line.
Not just for triathlons.
A little about me as a triathlete.
